Helping Us to Help You

  • If for any reason you are unable to make it to your appointment, please let us know so that we can allocate the appointment to another patient. We regularly have missed appointments which we have therefore been unable to allocate to anyone else, therefore potentially increasing the waiting time to see a doctor or nurse.
  • A text reminder of any booked appointments will be sent to all patients where we hold a mobile number. Please ensure we always hold an up-to-date mobile number by notifying us if you change your number.   
  • Please give the reception staff as much information about why you require an appointment. This will ensure you are allocated to the correct member of the team and have the correct time allocated to your consultation.
  • If you are running late for an appointment, could you please try and telephone us to let us know so that we can explain to the clinician that you are seeing. If you fail to do so and are more than 10 minutes late, the clinician may NOT see you and you will have to re-arrange to be seen at another time.
  • Please make sure that your full name and date of birth are on all samples handed in for testing. If not, they will be discarded.
